Menchey makes it easy to give your child an excellent music education. Students of all ages can learn to play a wide variety of band and orchestral instruments at Menchey Music, including brass, woodwinds, and strings.

We carefully select our teachers.
They’re here to help your child develop the skills they need to really enjoy playing in the band or orchestra. All of our studio teachers are subject to a thorough interview process including all state mandated background checks.

We offer the most flexible musical instrument rental program in southeastern PA and Maryland. Instruments and accessories are readily available in our stores, and through our convenient School Service.
You can even rent an instrument online.

- How much do lessons cost?
Our lesson costs vary from store to store. For pricing information please click on the “View Techers & Rates” links above. Once you choose your location you will be able to see rates for that store.
- How often are lessons?
Our lessons are once a week at your scheduled day and time.
- How many lessons do I get in my billing period?
We charge monthly and students receive an average of 4 lessons per month. Some months there will be 5 lessons and some months 3, depending on the calendar and when holidays fall, but you will always pay the same rate each month.
- How long is each lesson?
Most students find 30-minute lessons to be the best fit. However, we recommend hour long lessons for more advanced students.
- Where are the lessons held? Are virtual lessons an option?
All our in-person lessons are held at our stores in our private lesson studios. Many of our teachers also offer a virtual lesson option.
- What ages do you teach?
We teach children through adults, beginner to advanced. Starting age depends on teacher and instrument and can be found in teacher bios. Generally, most instruments start around age 7 with the exception of windblown instruments which start later.
